Ever since I was a little girl, I loved art - from painting pictures, to painting nails and faces. I loved "borrowing" my mom's makeup and nail polish, even when I knew I'd get in trouble for using it. I'm no beauty expert, but I do love fashion. BE U.

My favorite stamp design!
I used a Color Club silver for the main coats. On my ring finger I have Color Club's "Wild At Heart" purple holographic polish which I also used to stamp the purple flowers. For the black flowers I used regular black konad stamping polish. And added more studs! I used the flower from the bm05 plate.

Hunger Games nails v.2!!
So....I have done a previous Hunger Games nail design before. But this time I decided to do the book cover design.
I didn't have any of exact colors so I just mixed some colors to make
the gray, as well as the color I used for the mockingjay. I used China
Glaze's "Happy Go Lucky" (yellow), and "Camisole" (bronze) and mixed it
with white to create the mockingjay gold color. For the gray, I used
China Glaze's "Concrete Catwalk" and mixed it with white to make it a
lighter gray color for the circles.

Studded nails!!
I love things with studs. So I put them on my nails! I used OPI's "Did It On 'Em" from the Nicki Minaj collection. It has the perfect lime green color. For the ring finger, I used Color Club's "Peace Out Purple", and put 2 coats of Lynnderella's "The Telltale Heart" glitter on top. The thumb has a shattered heart! The purple shatter is also from OPI's Nicki Minaj collection, called "Superbass". I hope ya'll like it!
Also wore an outfit to match my nails today!
Piano necklace and gold stud bracelet are from Forever 21.
Black bracelet is from Hot Topic.
Black skirt is from Charlotte Russe.

Simple Valentine Nails!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I was sick for a few days and was feeling so bad that I couldn't even do my nails! Well anywho, today I felt a little better so I was able to do my nails just in time for Valentine's Day! For the thumb, I just taped it up to get the checkered design, and then added gold striping tape. For the index finger, I outlined a red heart and then filled it with red rhinestones.
I hope your days were all filled with love!

Ikat Nails!
I came across this online from Lucky Magazine online and thought it would be a great thing to try out. Lucky mag had ikat patterned nail wraps (decals), but I wanted to see how it would look if I hand-painted the design. Here's the outcome!
Oh btw, China Glaze "For Audrey" is like my favorite color in the world hehe. It's so versatile! I've used it for many of my nail designs. It's just an all-around color. Love it!
I also tried to take a picture of it in different lighting because it changed the look quite a bit. The pic on the top left was taken with flash. The rest are under incandescent light. The pictures on the right however have an added filter from an iphone app that made the bottom right pic lighter, and the top right pic more contrasted.

Tribal themed nails
For this tribal style nail design, I just used some striping nail polish to draw the designs on. They're kinda messy because my striping polish got very thick and I ran out of nail polish thinner. =X
Flake nail polish comparisons
So I wanted to compare the 3 flake nail polishes that I have because they are all quite similar. The Finger Paints and Picture Polish both have yellow tinged jelly base with yellow, green, orange, and red flakes. The Nubar 2010 have a clear tinged jelly base with yellow, green, orange, and red flakes. I had purchased the Nubar 2010 awhile back and just recently won the Finger Paints "flashy" and Picture Polish "splendour" in the contest from Llarowe shop. The main coat is also from the Llarowe prize pack and it is A England's "tristam". You can purchase Picture Polish and A England from her shop at shop.llarowe.com. Finger Paints and Nubar you can purchase on Amazon.com. For my thumb and pinky I just put a coat of Color Club's "covered in diamonds". That has a bigger flake that looks more like shattered glass. On my index finger I have Picture Polish, middle finger I have Finger Paints, and ring finger I have Nubar 2010. These are all very similar to Essie's Shine of the Times. The consistency of all these flake top coats are basically the same. I have 2 coats applied to each nail and as you can see it's very hard to tell the difference. I loveee flake polish!

Galaxy nails
These nails were inspired by several designs I have seen online. I really love the gradient/sponging technique and this is how I accomplished the galaxy look. For these, I used several different colors. For the base coat, I used Sally Hansen "Blackout". I first sponged on the light blue using a makeup applicator sponge, using China Glaze's "Bahamian Escape". After the light blue I sponged the greenish color which is China Glaze's "Entourage". I also dabbed extra colors onto it like the darker blue China Glaze "Sky High Top" and the dark purple China Glaze "Grape Pop". To add some extra flare to it, I dotted some random white dots to make them look like tiny stars. I then put a very light coat of China Glaze's "Fairy Dust" to add some sparkle on them.
Glitter Nail Polish Removal Technique - With Video
Hi everyone! You know me, I love anything sparkly! I always have some sort of glitter on my nails and the best glitter is the hardest to remove! =/
Eventually I got tired of hard scrubbing and using cotton ball after cotton ball and loads of nail polish remover. So I was browsing the web for easier ways to remove glitter nail polish. Glitter polish tends to destroy the threads of a cotton ball, making it stick to the polish when you vigorously rub it. That makes the nail polish even more difficult to remove. Also, I know that 100% pure acetone will do the trick, but I just don't like the thought of rubbing pure acetone on my nails all the time.
This method that I came across from many different sites, works like MAGIC! And you don't have to worry about over drying/destroying your nails from all that pure acetone. All you need is regular nail polish remover (I usually get mine from Target,Up&Up Target brand and it works fine), cotton balls, and aluminum foil.
Step 1: Moisten your cotton ball with nail polish remover
Step 2: Place the cotton ball onto your glitter polished nail and secure it by pressing down on the cotton ball with slight pressure
Step 3: Wrap the cotton ball in place, using the aluminum foil
Step 4: Leave your fingers wrapped for about 5-10 minutes, then carefully remove the foil with the cotton ball from your fingers. The majority of the polish should be gone, if not all. It may not perfectly remove everything, but you could always go back with the same soaked cotton balls and remove the remaining portions of the polish.
AND YOU ARE DONE!!
No more painful scrubbing!! =D
p.s. -As I stated in my video, I did not come up with this technique. To be honest, I'm not sure who did! I just know that it has worked for everyone that has reviewed the technique.
Now I can paint all the glitter I want without having to dread the day that I have to take it off.
Happy polishing!!
