DIY Glitter Heart Sweater

Wanna know how you can get your very own glitter heart sweater such as the one seen on Taylor Swift, JLo, and Shay Mitchell? Well here's a simple way of making your own!!

You will need:
  • Modge Podge (I'm using glossy finish to give it a metallic sheen)
  • Fine glitter (I'm using red for the heart)
  • Paintbrush or sponge brush
  • Fabric pen
  • Cardboard
  • Sweater/shirt (I got my sweater from Cotton On)
  • Small container to mix glitter and modge podge

Step 1: With your cardboard, cut out a heart shape big enough to fit your sweatshirt or t-shirt
Step 2: Using your cardboard heart, place it evenly onto fabric and trace around it using a fabric pen/fabric marker or chalk.
Step 3: In a container, mix equal parts of glitter and modge podge
Step 4: Carefully paint inside the lines of your tracing and fill the heart completely.
Step 5: let it air dry overnight and then you are done!

DIY cross studded phone case

These cases usually sell for about $30-$40 but I spent about $12 on this! I got all my supplies from ebay.
FLORAL IPHONE 4 CASE: Cath Kidtson floral case from powerseller2009dhm   $3.98

I first aligned the studs on the case without gluing them on to see how many I needed for the length and width I wanted the cross to be.  It came out to 12 studs long and I did two columns.  I then added a square (4 studs) to each side beginning on the 3rd row to make the sides of the cross.  Once I had them where I wanted them, I started carefully gluing each one to the right spot.  These studs already had glue in them and you could also use heat to melt the glue and glue them on.  However, I wanted to use my own glue.  I heard loctite glue is also good for gluing these studs.  Simple and affordable DIY craft!! I'm loving it!!
