Hunger Games nail series - District 12 theme

For this one, I actually used a polish from the China Glaze Hunger Games line.  I decided to do a District 12 theme from the book/movie, which is a coal mining town.  The main grayish base color is Hook & Line from the Hunger Games nail polish line.  For the thumb, I used Nails Inc Magnetic Polish in Trafalgar Square and used the China Glaze magnetix magnet.  For the index and ring finger,  I stamped a design that is similar to the design on the book cover.  I used the BM19 nail stamping plate.  For the thumb and pinky I added OPI's black shatter to represent the coal.  My shatter is kinda thick now so it looks really chunky but it fit the theme.

New Years Day outfit

Hello kitty tank, skirt, and necklace are all from Forever 21

Boots are from WetSeal

For my nails I used Nails Inc Magnetic Polish in “Trafalgar Square” (ring finger), Sally Hansen “Blackout” with Color Club “Covered in Diamonds” flakes nail polish (pinky and index finger), and “Save  Me” (middle finger) from Nicki Minaj’s new OPI collection

Magnetic Polish!!

this stuff is freakin golden!! mag-neat-O!! haha. I absolutely loveee magnetic polish.  I first bought the Nails Inc magnetic polish at Sephora.  I ordered it online when I first heard about it.  It’s $16 for the Nails Inc (London) brand. I was very happy to find out that Layla Cosmetics (Italy) also made magnetic polish. I was very surprised to find out that a local beauty store carried it! It’s about the same price, $15.50 and has many different colors, whereas Sephora only made a silver, gold, and purple. Here are the links to both brands:

Amazon also carries both =D.

P.S., Nails Inc has a magnet that is attached to an extra top cap that you can remove, while Layla Magneffect has the magnet is attached to the actual cap. Each magnet produces different designs.  The Nails Inc design has a wavy looking design, and the Magneffect has a more linear design.  I love them both! And, you can mix/match the magnets with the polish.
