peachy keen!

I love China Glaze's "Peachy Keen".  I decided to mattify them for a different effect.  I also cut up some tape to do the bandage effect and used Revlon's "Gold Coin".  Perfect spring mani!!

P.S. it may look more orange cuz of my weird lighting, but it's really very peach-y

Hunger Games Effie Trinket Reaping nails

For this Hunger Games inspired mani, I decided to do Effie Trinket's nails during the reaping.  Unfortunately it's hard to get the colors exact because of lighting issues, and cuz I didn't have the exact colors but I tried to find something close.  I used China Glaze's "Traffic Jam" for the magenta base color and then using a makeup sponge I applied Revlon's "Gold Coin" using the gradient effect application for the tips of the nails.  For added glitter effect, I used China Glaze's "Fairy Dust" as a top coat.

Connect The Dots!!

Soo...... I am so excited because I finally own the infamous Connect The Dots nail polish, especially hand-made by Lynnderella!! This thing is so hard to get your hands on.  Thanks to Llarowe I finally have it! Check out Leah Ann's shop at shop.llarowe.com.  Her shop is where I previously won a bunch of nail polishes from her shop and they are all so amazing.  I swatched "Connect the Dots" on my sister's nails because she had a very pastel purple (China Glaze "Light as Air") painted on her nails and I wanted to see what it looked like on it. I LOVE THIS STUFF!! probably going to do some swatches with some other colors later on.

Hunger Games themed nails v.3

I wanted to try out some of the new Hunger Games colors from the new China Glaze collection.  On the index and pinky I used "Harvest Moon" from the Hunger Games Collection.  For the center of the heart on my ring finger, I used "Electrify, which is a gold and red glittery polish from the same collection. Harvest Moon looks awesome in the sun. It's a very shimmery, multi-faceted orange and gold color with a chrome finish.  Very metallic looking.  I added some studs as extra add ons.

Simple Valentine Nails!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I was sick for a few days and was feeling so bad that I couldn't even do my nails! Well anywho, today I felt a little better so I was able to do my nails just in time for Valentine's Day! For the thumb, I just taped it up to get the checkered design, and then added gold striping tape. For the index finger, I outlined a red heart and then filled it with red rhinestones.

I hope your days were all filled with love!

Galaxy nails

These nails were inspired by several designs I have seen online.  I really love the gradient/sponging technique and this is how I accomplished the galaxy look. For these, I used several different colors.  For the base coat, I used Sally Hansen "Blackout".  I first sponged on the light blue using a makeup applicator sponge, using China Glaze's "Bahamian Escape".  After the light blue I sponged the greenish color which is China Glaze's "Entourage".  I also dabbed extra colors onto it like the darker blue China Glaze "Sky High Top" and the dark purple China Glaze "Grape Pop".  To add some extra flare to it, I dotted some random white dots to make them look like tiny stars.  I then put a very light coat of China Glaze's "Fairy Dust" to add some sparkle on them.

Hunger Games nails

I decided to do something inspired by the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins.  The books are amazing! I can't wait for the movie to come out in March.  Katniss, the main character, was given the nickname "the girl on fire", so I decided to do something with some blacks and golds.  It was honestly a little difficult to draw the mockingjay logo on my nails because I have such small nails. And, I didn't want to do it over so that's how it turned out on the first try. I also currently just got the Nubar 2010 which is used as a top coat on my pinky and index finger.  I love all the flakes style polish.  They create a cool effect and change colors when they're under different lighting.  The Nubar 2010 has red, orange, and green tones. <3 it!

New Years Eve Cityscape Nails

I used a few different colors for the sky. After doing a gradient technique for the background, I drew the buildings in using a dotting tool.  I then added windows.  I used Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” from her OPI collection to add some “stars”
